Ep. 5: The importance of connection
As humans, we naturally crave connection with others and perhaps never more so than when we enter our latter years. While there’s no medical prescription to treat loneliness and social isolation, the gift of time from strangers is proving to be a powerful antidote for residents living in aged care facilities. Joining Graham Mabury to share their stories are aged care resident Alister Milne and his wife Jill Milne, and Ruth Bell, a retiree who is delivering joy and connection to aged care residents through volunteering.
