Specialised dementia support

Live a meaningful life with Baptistcare

Whether you are living with dementia or caring for a loved one living with dementia, Baptistcare can support you with specialist expertise and person-centred care.

At Baptistcare, we understand no two people are the same. That’s why we take the time to get to know you and how you want to live your life.

With the help of your family and loved ones, we focus on what your individual physical, emotional and spiritual needs are so that we can support you to live a meaningful life and remain as independent as you want to be.

We get to know you; your values, unique history, personality and preferences so we can tailor our care to suit you and make your everyday life meaningful.

Many of our residential facilities offer specialised dementia care. If you’d like to discuss care options or book a tour at a location near you, contact our friendly team today.

We host a range of therapeutic activities across our residential facilities designed to enrich the lives of residents living with dementia. These activities include music therapy , arts and crafts, exercise classes, men’s shed, cooking classes, pet therapy, intergenerational events and much more.

The activities we offer are based on residents’ interests and hobbies, and encourage independence, while helping to maintain social connections and overall wellbeing.

We are fortunate to have a dedicated community of volunteers who enrich the lives of our residents. Baptistcare volunteers work alongside our team to engage residents living with dementia in therapeutic everyday activities such as music therapy, gardening, crafts, painting, pet therapy and scrapbooking.

We believe that nutritious food is essential to the physical and emotional health of our residents living with dementia. We prepare all our meals fresh onsite in our home-style kitchens. We use local produce where possible and offer a range of wholesome and delicious meals tailored to our residents needs and preferences.

As part of Baptistcare’s commitment to holistic, person-directed care, we provide an inclusive chaplaincy service to all residents and their loved ones who wish to access it.

No matter what your beliefs, background, culture or circumstances, our Chaplains are available to help support your emotional and spiritual needs. Our Chaplains are open and approachable; they recognise and respect each person’s spirituality and strive to support your ongoing search for meaning, purpose, hope and value.

What happens when a loved one with dementia can no longer live at home? In this episode of Demystifying Aged Care we explore the options to access care and support with special guest Professor Ralph Martins AO.
