Baptistcare Residential Aged Care

Baptistcare has been providing quality residential aged care in the WA community for more than 45 years. Our residential care facilities are a dramatically different living environment to the ‘nursing homes’ or ‘aged care hostels’ of the past.

A personalised approach where we listen to what you need and put your needs first
An active and fun social program for you to participate in the facility and in the community
Delicious and nutritious chef-designed meals prepared daily on-site
Specialist dementia care for people living with dementia or cognitive impairment
Chaplains that respect each person’s spirituality
24-7 security and health care delivered by skilled aged care nurses, carers and support staff

We’re passionate about our aged care residents leading healthy, happy and meaningful lives, and ensure they feel at ‘home’ in their chosen Baptistcare residential care facility. Whether you are looking for permanent residential aged care, short-term respite accommodation or accommodation that specifically caters for the needs of people with dementia, we’re here for you.

Allowing seniors to age with grace, independence and dignity through a personalised approach

In the past, moving into a ‘nursing home’ meant a regimented lifestyle, where residents were forced to carry out the same schedule and routines as everyone else. At Baptistcare, you won’t find a one-size fits all approach. We embrace your individuality and ensure your aged care is personalised.

When you choose to live in Baptistcare residential facility, our supportive team will closely work with you and your loved ones to develop a personalised aged care plan according to your individual needs, interests, hobbies, goals and ultimately how you want to live your life. By getting to know you, we can care for you in a way that honours your independence and make you feel at home.

Everyone who works here is just lovely, they look after me so well and I’ve made some great friends who I can have a laugh with. There’s always loads of things to do, every day there’s something happening.

Freshly prepared chef-designed meals

We prepare all our meals fresh onsite in our kitchens, thanks to our team of passionate chefs dedicated to serving five-star restaurant-quality meals for our aged care residents.

We use local produce where possible and offer a range of wholesome and delicious meals through our seasonal menus. We believe nutritious food is not only essential to the physical health of our aged care residents, but emotional too, as it invokes pleasurable mealtime memories.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I apply for an asset assessment?

You can download a Permanent Residential Aged Care Request for an Assets Assessment form from the www.health.gov.au website or you can call us and we will send you a copy.

What is an asset assessment?

The purpose of an assets assessment is to determine whether a person may be eligible to pay an accommodation payment, or if the aged care home is eligible to receive an Australian Government subsidy on behalf of a person. An assets assessment also helps to clarify the maximum accommodation payment a person may be asked to pay.

See the Assets Assessments for Entry into Permanent Residential Aged Care page on the health.gov.au website for more information.

Do I need to get an asset assessment?

An assets assessment is recommended, as you cannot receive financial assistance from the Australian Government towards the cost of your accommodation without one.

Your level of assessed assets is used to work out how much you may be asked to pay for your accommodation. If you choose not to have your assets assessed, you can be charged the maximum amount.
