Baptistcare to focus on aged care sector in Western Australia

After a comprehensive, strategic review process, Baptistcare has announced it will focus on growing its services in the aged care sector in Western Australia.

Chief Executive Officer Russell Bricknell said the organisation aims to build on its position as a leading provider of residential care, at home services and retirement living to meet the increasing needs of the State’s ageing population.

In line with this new direction, Baptistcare intends to transition out of Disability Services during 2018.

While nothing will change immediately, the Board and Executive Leadership Team, wanted to communicate the new focus to Disability Services’ customers and their families, and staff to give everyone plenty of time to understand the impact of the change.

“We are committed to working with every person individually and providing them with the information and support they need through this period of change,” Russell said.

There will be no changes to Baptistcare’s residential aged care, at home services or retirement living and the organisation is well placed to expand its Western Australian footprint over the next few years.
