Managing your support

You decide how much – or how little – help you need from us to manage your services.

There are two main ways of managing your support:

Organisation managed service

This is where Baptistcare is responsible for the full management of your services, while ensuring you have a strong say in how things are done. Using this approach, we will take the lead in recruiting and training staff involved in supporting you. We will also track your resources and outcomes and report on our contract with the government.

Shared managed services

This is where you share the management of your support with us. You can choose how much management you are comfortable to take on. For example, you may choose to:

  • Be responsible for hiring your own staff but leave the finances, including paying wages, and the paperwork to us.
  • Ask us to manage your services for parts of the year, while you manage them at other times.
  • Ask us to recruit staff and prepare them to work for you.
  • Employ your own staff but access back-up staff through Baptistcare.

We will take guidance from you regarding how you want us to help. Whatever choice you make, you won’t be alone as we employ a range of skilled people who will always be there to support you.
