Assisting our customers to maintain their independence living at home and supporting them to stay in their home for as long as they feel comfortable

Making wonderful friendships with staff and enjoying relationships with our customers.
What would you say to someone looking to move into Baptistcare, or into Aged Care? What makes it a rewarding career?
I love the stories and memories I hear daily from our elderly. We have so much to learn. I love earning respect and building friendships with our seniors in the community.
What benefits do you like about working for Baptistcare?
The ability to salary sacrifice my mortgage. I also enjoy the flexibility and support that is provided that enable me to have carers leave to support my mum.
My role at Baptistcare is to be the first point of contact for families requiring assistance with Aged Care in our home care or residential settings.

How long have you been at Baptistcare?
I have been with Baptistcare for 5 years. I am a Catering Operations Supervisor and a trade Chef at Baptistcare and currently completing my Cert IV in Food Science and Technology at Federation University.
Would you recommend Baptistcare as a place to work?
Yes, Baptistcare has a great company culture and values, Baptistcare aims to be the market leader in aged care and I’m proud to be a part of the journey.

Baptistcare allow personal growth and development to all its staff, I have had the opportunity of being mentored by some amazing leaders. They also allow me the flexibility to study in order to progress my career further.

What difference do you think we make to our customers?
A valuable difference especially for those individuals that don’t have a family to care for them, we offer them a home and a family.
How long have you been at Baptistcare?
I have been with Baptistcare for nearly 5 years. I started working with Baptistcare as an Enrolled Nurse at Kalkarni in 2015. I moved to Gracewood in 2018 and have been working as a Registered Nurse since August 2019. I also relieve in the ACFI position when needed.
Would you recommend Baptistcare as a place to work?
Baptistcare is a great place to work. I really appreciate my manager’s support and I feel proud to work for an organisation that follows their values.
What do you love most about working at Baptistcare?
I feel respected and supported and appreciate the ongoing development opportunities to increase my skills.
Is there anything that stands out for you in your career at Baptistcare so far?
The ongoing training and support, the friendly environment and a place where people live the values. I also really enjoy working with the residents, we follow our values and provide person-centred quality care.
What would you say to someone looking to move into Baptistcare?
I would highly recommend Baptistcare, it is the best organisation that I have worked for and I continue to be happy to this day.
What makes it a rewarding career?
The friendly environment, the values, the LEAD (Leadership, Engagement and Development) program which is focused on further developing leadership skills across the organisation to help us build a great culture, salary packaging and our recognition scheme.
How long have you been at Baptistcare?
I have been with Baptistcare for 10 years. I started working as a Care Partner in 2010 while I was doing my EN studies down in Baptistcare Albany. After getting my EN qualification, I worked as an EN for a time at Baptistcare Albany and then I moved to Perth to do my Registered Nurse conversion course. After becoming a qualified Registered Nurse with Baptistcare I was offered a position of Clinical Nurse.
Would you recommend Baptistcare as a place to work?
A big yes! Baptistcare offers its people a log of support and there is plenty of room for personal growth and career development.
What do you love most about working at Baptistcare?
The working hours and flexibility enable me to balance my personal responsibilities with work.
Is there anything that stands out for you in your career at Baptistcare so far?
Baptistcare provides relevant training in different skill sets to further my career. I am currently a participant in the LEAD (Leadership, Engagement and Development) program which is focused on further developing leadership skills across the organisation to help build a great culture that enables us to deliver on our vision of “a meaningful life”.
What would you say to someone looking to move into Baptistcare?
I would highly encourage anyone to work for Baptistcare and specifically into aged care as it is a very rewarding role.
I have worked at Baptistcare for over 3 years. When I started at Baptistcare I was working in housekeeping and also as a kitchen hand. Since then, Baptistcare has given me the opportunity to attain a Certificate III in Aged Care, and I now work as both a Care Partner and Therapy Assistant.
Baptistcare has strong core values that put a real emphasis on quality of life for its residents. For its employees, Baptistcare offers real flexibility in terms of work hours, and this is something I value.
The thing I love about working in Baptistcare is…
Being able to help our customers to maintain their involvement and to feel included within their community. I love working with an awesome team.
My career is rewarding because…
I get to assist people to maintain their dignity and their independence when they are feeling vulnerable. I love the relationships I get to create. We give purpose, support and understanding and are compassionate. We give our customers a sense of ‘place’.

What has been your career path whilst at Baptistcare?
I originally commenced as a cleaner and a kitchenhand and have now progressed into a Care Partner position.
Would you recommend Baptistcare as a place to work?
Absolutely, for me, I really enjoy being part of a team in such a wonderful caring environment and especially when I see the residents happy faces.
What would you say to someone looking to move into Baptistcare?
