Do I need to be of the Baptist faith to work at Baptistcare?

No, at Baptistcare we welcome people of all beliefs. Our Christian values are at the heart of everything we do and drive our commitment to serving our customers. Baptistcare is an equal opportunities employer and respect and values the differences that make each person unique.

Do I need experience to work at Baptistcare?

There are many opportunities within Baptistcare, some that require specific experience or competency. Details of this will be outlined within our position descriptions and within the job advert. For some of our roles, we are able to support less experienced candidates with on the job training and further education. We seek the right values from our candidates as believe that talented candidates who possess values that align with our organisation will have the potential for future success.

How can I apply for my police clearance?

We accept certified National Police Clearances with 12 months validity, if you don’t have a Police clearance we can apply for one on your behalf at no cost to you.

I have applied for a position, what happens now?

We are so happy to hear that you are interested in working for Baptistcare. Your application will now be reviewed by our recruitment team and hiring manager and you will be notified of the outcome of this process. If you are unsuccessful at this time, we hope you will consider other vacancies within Baptistcare in the future.

How long does the recruitment process take?

We really value your patience during the recruitment process, but do understand it can be frustrating when these things take too long. We will respond to your application once we recieve it and typically would try to start arrange interviews soon after. Depending upon availability interviews may take place 1-3 weeks after the closing date. If you need to have an update on your application at any stage of the process, we are happy to hear from you and will respond to your query.

Can I apply for multiple jobs at once?

You may apply for more than one job at once if you consider that you are able to meet the selection criteria. Once we have your application we will also review whether there are other roles that might also be suitable for you.

Is there the opportunity for sponsorship if I live overseas currently?

Baptistcare offers a range of sponsorship options for suitable candidates; these opportunities are only available for full time roles and at the discretion of the Hiring Manager. For more information, please contact our People and Culture team.

Are part time opportunities available?

Yes. At Baptistcare we often have a range of vacancies to suit the evolving needs of individuals. Our job adverts will indicate whether a role is part time or full time and this will guide you in terms of current opportunities that could fit in with what you are looking for.

If I am unsuccessful can I reapply?

As personal circumstances can change from month to month, we recommend that you reapply (and submit a new application) for each role you wish to apply for.

What documents do I need to attach to my application?

When you apply, the job advert and job information will guide you in terms of what specific documents you may be required to attach. It does vary depending upon the role applying for, so it is worth reading the job advert carefully before applying.

How many interviews do I need to attend?

For many roles, candidates will attend one interview with the hiring manager and other members of a recruitment panel. For some roles we may invite you to attend a second interview or to attend a short assessment. All details of the interview process will be provided to you. We want to support you to be your best at interview, so will respond to any questions you might have throughout the process.

Do you do reference checks?

We do conduct reference checks as part of our recruitment process and you will be asked to provide the details of two professional references.

Do I need to have a pre-employment medical?

We have a pre-employment medical process (PEM) in place for new candidates looking to join Baptistcare. This ensures we meet our duty of care to our employees, allowing them to work comfortably and safely.
