Is There A Waiting Period?

Baptistcare is prequalified by the Disability Services Commission to provide a range of support services. We recommend you contact your LAC or DSC to find out about your eligibility for DSC Funding.

When you contact Baptistcare, your enquiry will be allocated to a coordinator, who will call you back as soon as possible to chat about your needs over the phone and will make a time to come to you for a more detailed assessment.

Based on that meeting, Baptistcare will draft a funding plan, in consultation with you, taking into account your needs, your preferences, your eligible funding, and our ability to deliver the services you require.

If you have already been pre-approved, this plan can form the basis for an application to DSC and services can commence when the funding has been approved.

If your funding is not pre-approved, we can provide you with a fee for service package which is inclusive of the total cost of the service.

Typically, the whole process can take around 12 weeks. It may be possible to fast-track cases where there is an urgent need.
