How Do I Access These Services?

Government funding available for people with disability
The Western Australian Government provides a number of funding streams to support people with disabilities and their families and carers, through the Disability Services Commission (DSC).
Baptistcare works with individuals and families to develop a tailored package of services to make the best use of a range of DSC funding streams including:
- Accommodation Support Funding (ASF) assisting people with disabilities to live independently in their community
- Intensive Family Support (IFS) and Respite for families to take a break from the caring role
- Post School Options (PSO) assisting school-leavers with disabilities and their families to plan for their future in their final year of school
- Alternatives to Employment (ATE) for people with disabilities who require an alternative activity to paid employment so that they can develop skills and participate within their community
- Family Living Initiative to complement informal supports provided by families, carers, friends, and the wider community, with a strong emphasis on information and planning
- Community Living Initiative (previously known as the Community Living Plan) to establish alternative, sustainable, culturally appropriate, person-centred community living arrangements for adults
