Partners in Purpose
A fresh new approach to encouraging purpose and direction for people with disabilities.
Baptistcare seeks to work in partnership with people with disabilities, their families, friends and local area coordinators to find the best way of achieving excellent outcomes for both individuals and families.
Through a “pick and mix” support model, Baptistcare seeks to work in partnership with families as they develop their aspirations for the future, and work towards lives of purpose and hope. We recognise the need to provide flexible support because needs may differ between families. Some may want an agency to take full responsibility for their options, whilst others may wish to retain greater ownership in decision-making processes such as choice of support workers, support needs and accountability.
The service is specifically aimed at supporting people who receive Accommodation Support Funding, Intensive Family Support funding and Alternatives to Employment funding through the Disability Services Commission. We also support the Shared Management Model where Baptistcare and participants work together to share in the management of the option.
Where such funding is not available an individual may pay for the service privately. DSC’s business rules and entry criteria would still apply.
