Pathways Counselling and Family Services

Pathways Counselling and Family Services is an outreach of Baptistcare that aims to provide a circle of care to support individuals and families experiencing emotional distress and to promote positive mental health amongst Western Australians.

From time to time everyone faces situations in their lives when there appears to be no way forward. Talking to someone who cares about your troubles and who is trained to help you find your way through the situation is often all that is needed.

Professionally trained Pathways counsellors can offer support to individuals and families across life transitions and in building resilience in situations of distress around relationships; conflict resolution; addiction; anxiety; depression; migration; grief and loss; and trauma.

Everything you say to a Pathways counsellor is strictly confidential.

Sessions are usually one hour long, and they may be weekly or fortnightly. The number of sessions is worked out between the counsellor and the client.

Our standard fees are available upon inquiry. If payment causes hardship, you may be able to negotiate the fee paid with your counsellor. Pathways does not receive funding from any source, but instead relies solely on client fees and on charitable donations to meet operational costs. We are a not for profit entity and will never turn away a client experiencing financial hardship.

Pathways is a Christian organisation. Our counsellors are willing to share their beliefs with you, at your request, if it will help.

If you are unable to attend your session or need to postpone an appointment, 24 hours notice is required so that your counsellor can reschedule the time to help others. Unless exceptional circumstances have occurred, a cancellation fee will apply for little or no notice given.
